Where Boys Grow Through Adventure

Welcome to the Camp Arrowhead Blog — the official journal of Camp Arrowhead for Boys, a North Carolina summer camp where adventure, creativity, and tradition meet.

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Hendersonville, NC, Camp Arrowhead has helped boys build confidence and character for generations.
Our camp is designed for boys who love the outdoors — from blacksmithing and woodworking to archery, bushcraft, and wilderness exploration — all in a safe, hands-on, and unforgettable setting.

What Makes Camp Arrowhead Unique

At Camp Arrowhead, we believe the best learning happens when boys make things, build things, and live the adventure themselves.
Our days are filled with real-world skills and timeless traditions — no screens, no shortcuts, just mountain air and meaningful experiences.

Campers take part in our Activities:

  • Blacksmithing & Metalwork: forge knives, tools, and hooks at our blacksmith shop.

  • Woodworking & Crafting: carve, build, and create in our hands-on maker shops.

  • Bushcraft & Wilderness Training: learn fire building, primitive skills, and outdoor safety.

  • Archery, Riflery, and Field Games: focus, teamwork, and outdoor fun.

  • Themed Arrowhead Adventures: immersive, all-camp events where every cabin works together to solve challenges, complete creative missions, and live out epic storylines inspired by history, myth, and exploration.

Each summer, we also host Camp Maker Week — a special event where visiting artisans, blacksmiths, and craftspeople teach campers advanced skills — turning Camp Arrowhead into a true maker camp in North Carolina.
