Blacksmithing

Blacksmithing at Camp Arrowhead gives boys the chance to step into the forge and shape metal with fire, hammer, and anvil — just as craftsmen have done for centuries. Under close guidance, campers learn the fundamentals of forging, from safely managing the forge to hammering glowing steel into useful and artistic creations like hooks, knives, or arrowheads. Each project builds confidence, patience, and respect for the process of turning raw material into something lasting. The blacksmith shop has become one of the most popular places at camp — a glowing reminder of our Maker Spirit and the satisfaction that comes from working with your hands.
